For our one year anniversary (paper), I decided I was going to start a new tradition by making my husband an A to Z Wedding Anniversary Date Book. The date book helps us keep track of what we do on our wedding anniversaries and acts as a scrapbook. The A to Z Anniversary tradition goal is to plan everything about your wedding anniversaries around the letter that goes with that year.

E = 5th Anniversary; Traditional gift is Wood, Modern is Silverware

This past weekend my husband and I celebrated our fifth year of being married. For our fifth wedding anniversary, my husband made me a wood "I love you" necklace and bought me some Earrings. I bought my husband a personalized wood watch. I also made my husband a wood sign and paired it with liquor and a mix CD to match the saying on the sign.

For our "All about E" date we ate brunch at Wild Eggs. We went to the movies to see Aladdin for some Entertainment. Then we went to the mall to Eat again and Explore a few stores. We ended the date with an E Scavenger Hunt that my husband put together. I'm also Expecting baby #4 so that can count towards another E right?!?

Try to think outside the box when planning your "All about E" date. You only get to celebrate your anniversary once a year so try to do something different that you don't get to do a lot. Try a new restaurant or go exploring. I've created a list to help you if you are having trouble coming up with things to do or places to eat that start with the letter "E". 


"E" Date possibilities:
  • Exhibit
  • Exercise 
  • Extreme Sports
  • Exchange Massages
  • Easter Eggs - color Easter Eggs or go on an Easter Egg Hunt
  • Escape from a Breakout game
  • Exfoliate and Relax at a Spa
  • E Scavenger Hunt - find an eye, Earth, elf, eggplant, eight, elephant, etc... in a store
  • Educational - do something educational whether it's visiting a museum or taking a class together
  • Exotic - Exotic animals or an Exotic restaurant
  • Everglades - boat ride, alligator hunting
  • Early Bird Date - wake up super early and go for a hike, maybe a polar plunge, watch the sun rise and grab some breakfast
  • Expensive Date - get dressed up really nice and hit up all the expensive stores in your area, getting a feel of what it would be like to be rich.  End the night eating at a Five Star restaurant. 
  • Envelope Date - plan out a couple dates and place them in envelopes, choose an envelope and go on the pre planned date. This is similar to The 12 Dates of Christmas dates.
  • Eiffel Tower - visit Paris or have a Paris themed date. Make sure to incorporate the Eiffel Tower
  • Egyptian Themed Date
  • Edible aka cooking class
  • Explore - go exploring together. You can explore a cave, a local hiking trail, or even explore your town
  • Movies - Enchanted, E.T, The Eagle, Escape Room, Escape Plan 1 & 2, Empire State, Erased
  • Game Night - Euchre, Pool (Eight Ball), crazy Eights, Egg Toss
  • Travel - East Coast, Europe, Egypt, El Paso, El Salvador, Ecuador

Food and Drinks:
  • Eggs
  • Eggplant
  • Eclairs
  • Egg Salad
  • Easter Candy
  • Drinks - Eggnog, Espresso, Energy Drink

Restaurants:
  • EAT Out at any Restaurant
  • Buffet - all you can EAT
  • Einstein Brother's Bagels

There are tons of other words and things to do the start or involve the letter "E" and names of places vary by location but I hope this list at least gets you started when planning your "All about E" date!
