My husband and I just celebrated our four year wedding anniversary and went on our traditional All about D Date. Four years traditional gift idea is Fruit so I decided to create a fun Fruit Book filled with fruit sayings and pictures. I was very proud of myself because I designed all of the fruit pictured from scratch along with a Fake Fruit Scavenger Hunt and a Multiple Choice Date *pictured below. It all ties together, I promise!
I spent a whole day designing this awesome fruit book and lucky for you, you can print it for FREE . It took all day because I made all of the fruit from scratch all while taking care of my three little ones. I had designed a watermelon and strawberry for my daughter's Tutti Frutti Birthday Party but other than that, this was my first time attempting to design fruit and I think it turned out pretty awesome!
For the book I made a list of 16 fruit related sayings. That is 4 for every year we've been married. Some of the sayings I came up with and other's I found searching the internet. I matched the saying to a picture that was related since my husband and I have been together along with a picture of the fruit.
I also made a cover page that said "I am so FOURtunate to have you in my life. Happy FOUR Years!" and ended it with the amount out time we have been married in days, hours, minutes, seconds, etc...
I printed the pages out.
Then glued the backs of the pages together - make sure both pages are facing the same direction.
Folded them in half and organized them how I wanted. Then stapled them together on the fold.
I paired the book with a bottle of Apple Crown Royal, the Fake Fruit Scavenger Hunt and the Multiple Choice Date and gave it to my husband on our anniversary.

The Fruit Saying Book is an easy, fun and cute way to incorporate fruit into your four year wedding anniversary gift. You can also give this book to your significant other use because, for Valentine's Day or any other anniversary.
You can download the FREE PRINTABLE BOOK HERE and add your own pictures to it by saving it as a word document or printing it out and glueing/tapping pictures into the blank spots. You can refer to my pictures to see how I had the pictures originally in the book.
I hope you and your significant other enjoy this book as much as we did. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Don't forget to check out the Fake Fruit Scavenger Hunt I also designed and get your free printable to pair with the book!

I would love to download your Fruit Book as a word doc, but it will only save as a PDF. Would it be possible for you to email it to me?
ReplyDeleteHello, sorry for the inconvenience, the book was created in Illustrator and I unfortunately don't have access to Illustrator at the moment to try to transfer it to word. When this post was written, PDF's gave you the option of exporting them as a DOC file. I just tried and the option was gone on my computer as it's been updated but it may still be available on yours.
DeleteYou can do this by opening the PDF, go to File, Export, Click on Format where is says PDF and select DOC or DOCX and hit save. You may be able to do the same if it gives you the Save As button. I've also seen free PDF to Word converters on Google, that may be worth checking out. Please let me know if any of those work! I will keep messing with it as well.
