Do you shop at Walmart, Target, Kroger or Meijer? Did you know that they all have their own savings app? If not then keep reading. I was honestly surprised one day when I started talking about a store coupon app and how they had free items daily over the holidays and the group of people I was talking to about the app was clueless that the store even had an app so of coarse I shared it with them. I guess I assumed that if I knew about it then everybody else knew about the app too but I was wrong so I'm going to share with you the store apps and other coupon apps that I know about. I am sure there are several different apps out there that I still don't know about so feel free to comment below with what apps you use that work!
This is coupons that you can use in the store when you go to the store. I also have post with a list of cash back apps you can use once you have visited the store and have a receipt to scan.
General store coupon apps/websites:
Coupons.com and it's new app are great places to find coupons when going to the grocery store.
Website: Clip the coupons you want to use, print them off and use them at checkout.
App: UPDATE: As of July 2023 Coupons app switched to Shopmium. It works pretty much the same. I personally didn't have much luck with the Coupons app and they are very strict with their coupons. They must be clipped before you buy.

A perk is that you can save ink since you don't have to print out the coupons anymore. Another perk is that the app randomly offers free items such as eggs, bread, fruit, etc. You must purchase the item and they will reimburse you for the item up to a certain amount thus making it free.
I personally have not used Groupon before and haven't had much luck figuring it out but I know people that have used Groupon to help save them money on things such as massages, amusement parks, gyms, etc...
RetailMeNot is an app/website that has coupons and coupon codes for retail stores, restaurants, etc. You can save your favorite stores and store coupons to a list. Pull them up on your phone and have the cashier scan the barcode or enter the code at checkout. Not every store coupon is listed but it does have tons of coupons for tons of stores all in one location.
Store apps/websites that offer digital coupons and savings:
Dollar General has DG Digital Coupons
Add coupons to your account, shop at the Dollar General and enter your phone number at checkout to redeem the coupons. The Dollar General will randomly have $5 and $10 off coupons.
Khols has Yes2You Rewards
Khols has daily coupons, Khols cash and a Yes2You Rewards Program. Everything can be found on the Khols app. Coupons automatically get added to your Khols wallet and you can scan in other coupons storing them all in one locations so if you make a last minute trip to Khols you will have your coupon on had. Khols also offers a Yes2You Rewards program. If you sign up for the Yes2You program and scan your card, barcode or enter your phone number at checkout then you get points for every dollar spent. 100 points = $5 Rewards Cash. You can also get points for following Khols on social media and sometimes even for loving into their Wifi when you are in the store. Points will be transferred to Rewards Cash the first week of every month. A perk is that you can share your rewards points with people so if you are a few shy then you can ask for a favor and return the favor when your friend needs one.

Kroger has Kroger Plus Card
If you shop at Kroger you need to register for the Kroger Plus Card. The card allows you to pay the "Kroger price" on items which is usually a lot cheaper. It also allows you to access digital coupons that include Free Friday Download, Clicklist Freebies and Best Customer Rewards which usually involve free items. The Kroger Card also gives you Fuel Points for most purchase towards money off on gas. You can receive 4x fuel points on gift cards most of the time as well which means you purchase a $25 gift card, you get .10 cents off a gallon of gas.
Another cool thing Kroger does is allow you to link your Kroger card to a local organization - church, school, etc... so they will get a percentage every time you shop. To enjoy the perks of the Kroger Plus Card, all you have to do is scan your card at checkout. You can also pull the card's barcode up on the app to scan.

Meijer has Meijer Mperks
If you shop at Meijer a lot then you need to register for Meijer Mperks. You add coupons to your account, enter your phone number at checkout and your account pin number and save. The more you shop and spend, the more money off you can get the next time. It is usually $1-$3 but it is still a discount. I have seen free items and BOGO items on their app on several occasions.

Target has Cartwheel Target Circle
Target finally added Cartwheel to their app so it is so much easier to access. Cartwheel has coupons and percent off different items around their store. Most offers are 5-25% off items. You can now add 50 discounts to your app which is a lot better than it use to be. Scan the barcode at checkout to receive the discounts.
Target created Target Circle. I don't know a ton about it, but it looks very similar to Cartwheel. You can add coupons and discounts to you circle. If you aren't sure if what you are purchasing is on there, scan it and it will let you know. Make sure you scan your barcode at checkout to receive the discounts. After your shopping trip and your scanned barcode, it looks like Target now gives you cash back from each purchase you can use on your next trip. So far it has just been change, but I'm sure there is an algorithm to it.
