If you are on a tight spending budget or just can't afford the prices of LulaRoe but still want to get into the new clothing fad, here are some tricks to buying LulaRoe items for cheap. If you have no clue what LulaRoe is then you should start HERE but basically it is a fashion brand with comfortable clothes. Currently the cheapest LulaRoe items are the children's items but other than that is the leggings starting at $25. The tops average $35 and the dresses, skirts, covers and jackets are $46-$100 plus taxes and shipping. To some people that may be considered affordable but to others it is not. If you fall into the group of people that think LulaRoe is a little to pricey for you but would love to try it then here are some tricks to getting it for cheaper.
1. Enter Contest
Join consultants groups and enter their contest. Several consultants have weekly giveaways from lulacash to free items. You have better odds in smaller groups but some of the bigger groups have bigger contest. Keep in mind that the consultants host contest to get people to join their group and award their loyal customers. All the contests are paid for by the consultants, not LulaRoe. The contest vary by consultant and it is not guaranteed that you will win. I've seen contest ranging from winner's choice to legging for a year to a Kate Spade purse filled with LulaRoe to $500 Lulacash. The majority of consultants will ship your free item for free but a few will charge you shipping. Either way $3 shipping is a lot better than $25 + shipping. May the odds be ever in your favor!
2. Join Consultants Going Out of Business (GOOB)
I've noticed that several consultants are going out of business. LulaRoe doesn't seem to be dying down anytime soon since they just signed a two year contract with Disney but selling LulaRoe isn't for everybody. I read that LulaRoe just changed their return policy so I'm not sure how it works as I am not a consultant but by my understanding LulaRoe will buy consultants items back at a discounted price and resell them to other consultants for regular price. When a consultant is going out of business they usually have sales and overtime the items get cheaper and cheaper because they are trying to clear their inventory and still make a profit. I've noticed that most consultants would rather you buy their items for next to nothing than ship them back to LulaRoe. On average I have noticed the sale prices are leggings for $10-12, tops $10-15 and dresses/skirts for $15-25. I have seen some consultants post everything for $8 or everything of $15; the consultants choose the prices so of coarse it will vary by consultant. Some of the sale prices aren't bad but a lot of their inventory isn't the best as it is what is leftover. I have seen several beautiful items for cheap just because the consultant didn't have a ton of members but I wouldn't get your hopes up for finding your unicorn on sale. It's is worth a look though!
3. Shop the Sales/ Bargain Bins
Several consultants will hold sales every once in a while. Most of the sales take place around the holidays and vary by consultant. I've seen buy 1 get one free (BOGO), free shipping, 20% off, etc... sales. Others have Bargain Bins where every item in that album is discounted. Most bargain bins are found in Multi-Consultant groups and you have to contact the consultant for the discounts. I have also seen consultants have mystery bag sales where you pay $25 and every bag will have something extra in it from an extra item to LulaCash, the only problem is your items are mystery so you may not like what you get. Who doesn't love a sale?!
4. Host a Party
You can host a pop-up party, an online party or both to gain hostess rewards. The hostess rewards vary by consultant, but the average is a free pair of leggings for hosting, a free item of choice for every 10 items sold and a % off for every in-between item sold (Hostess rewards not eligible on Disney). The best time to host a party is to find a consultant offering double hostess rewards and two free leggings for hosting a party. That means that for every 5 items sold you will get a free item. It is hard to find someone offering double hostess rewards but I have seen several consultants offer it for a short time frame. The benefit of hosting a party is that you get free clothes for just inviting your friends and family to shop, how easy is that?! The only downfall is you don't know if anybody is going to buy anything.
5. Search Sale Websites: Ebay
Several people will buy LulaRoe and resell it on websites such as Ebay. The only problem with that is that most people jack up the price, especially on unicorn prints. Leggings have sold for over $300 on Ebay which I personally think is ridiculous but depending on the item and print, you may be able to get it for cheaper. I have seen both used and new items on Ebay starting at $5. There is also a Facebook group called "LulaRoe No Rules Buy, Sell, Trade..." were people sell discounted LulaRoe items and will ship them to you after you paid via PayPal. I personally have not bought anything from Ebay or the Facebook group but make sure to read all the item description and look closely at pictures to check for holes because there are scammers out there. Don't be afraid to ask the buyer a question about the item or make a lower offer if you don't like the price.
6. Yard Sale Sites
Facebook has several yard sale groups all over the world. Join a couple in your local area and type Lularoe in the yard sale search bar and see if anything pops up. I have seem people selling both new and used LulaRoe items on yard sale sites from $10-$25 on average. Facebook also has a place on the side bar called "Marketplace". You can try searching the marketplace for LulaRoe. Other possible apps/websites include letgo and craigslist. Just make sure to meet in a public, well lit place if you buy from any of these websites.
Just because LulaRoe is mainly sold online doesn't mean that you can't get discounts and just because you get a discount doesn't mean you have to use it. Entering contest and shopping consultant's going out of business are my favorite ways to get LulaRoe for cheaper. I know some of the tricks are only minor discounts but in today's society, every extra dollar is a dollar worth saving. If you are new to LulaRoe and unsure about their items I recommend using one of these tricks to try it out, that way if you don't like it, you didn't waste as much money as it would of cost full price. Hopefully these tricks will help you save on your LulaRoe and if all else fails, hope the consultant puts a "She won this" sticker on your package so your husband thinks your are really lucky!
